Generate Troubleshooting Files in Cisco FirePower Management Center (FMC)

There are times when a Cisco TAC engineer might ask you to Generate Troubleshooting Files in FirePower Management Center (FMC). This is a troubleshooting or system dump file (tar.gz compressed file extension) that contains log messages, configuration data and command outputs.


To generate a troubleshooting file, go to System > Health > Monitor > click on the “green check” icon beside Normal



Click on a specific Appliance listed below.



Click Generate Troubleshooting Files.



Click All Data or select individual data to include in the report.



The web browser will ask you to save the dump file (Download folder in a Windows machine). You can send or upload this file to the Cisco TAC case portal (ask TAC support for the URL) for further analysis on the selected FirePower Appliance.
