Subscribing to Cisco Security Advisories and Alerts

I needed to be up-to-date with Cisco security alerts particularly with Cisco ASA firewall vulnerabilities. So I've subscribed to Cisco's Security Advisories and Alerts from this link and click on Security Advisories

Under Vulnerabilities > tick Cisco Products and optionally Non-Cisco Products.

Under Filter By Product > choose Product Type (Cisco Product in this case).

I chose Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software under Choose Product field then click Apply.

You can also choose a Non-Cisco Product such as HP, Juniper, etc by clicking the green plus sign (Add a Product)

These are the security alerts I've subscribed to.

You'll see latest threats or Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) under Threats.

You can also subscribe to Cisco Security RSS Feeds (on the web browser) to get latest Cisco Security advisories. Under RSS 2.0 > click on the hyperlink of interest (Cisco Security Advisories in this case) > click Subscribe Now > Subscribe.

You can view the RSS feed (Mozilla Firefox) by going to Boomarks > Bookmarks Toolbar > Cisco Security Advisory. There's another Cisco Notification Service which you can subscribe to on this link.

Click Product-centric > Continue.

Type and search for a Cisco product of interest (Cisco ASA in this case).

Tick the notification of interest.

Click Finish once notification setup is done.

You can edit the settings by clicking on edit (paper and pen icon). I chose an alert frequency of weekly so as not to flood my email.

Below is a sample of an email alert (End-of-Sale) from Cisco.
